2023 Craigen Bowen Memorial Scholarship Application Window

The Craigen Bowen Memorial Climbing Scholarship will be awarded to a climber who is a promising beginner in their first few years of climbing, or who is eager to advance in rock, ice, winter pursuits, outdoor safety or other similar mountaineering endeavors.

Recipients must:

  • Attend a formal climbing-related instructional program offered by an established and reputable organization during the course of the year in which the award is received.

  • Present a written report prior to the next AMC Boston Mountaineering Annual Holiday Party describing the program in which the scholarship enabled them to take.

  • Attend the AMC Boston Mountaineering Annual Holiday Party to present the accomplishment of their award, and pass the award on to the next recipient.

Interested applicants should complete and submit the scholarship form before January 31st, 2023.
