Additional Development Opportunities
The AMC Boston Mountaineering Committee collaborates with many regional and national organizations to provide additional development opportunities for the local climbing community. These skill-building courses are normally led by professional guides/instructors and thus necessitate a participation fee. Oftentimes this participation fee is discounted compared to standard rates, particularly for active AMC Boston volunteers.
Development opportunities often include Wilderness First Aid, Advanced Rock Skills, AIARE-1, AIARE Avalanche Rescue, Advanced Ice Skills, Climbing Self Rescue, Glacier Travel / Crevasse Rescue, and more.
