Mission

SendHers is a network of women adventurers and allies within the AMC Boston climbing community. Our mission is to promote diversity of all kinds throughout our sport, empower and bring together diverse climbers, and foster development of women and non-binary individuals within our community. To these ends, we have identified three primary objectives:

For a new person entering the community, we endeavor to provide opportunities to meet and network with existing members.
For a person who has recently participated in our instructional rock or ice climbing programs, we endeavor to provide opportunities to expand their knowledge base and confidence with climbing or leading skills. We encourage these individuals to network with new and existing members.
For any person willing to take on a prominent leadership role, we endeavor to provide opportunities to develop leader/instructor skills by participating in outdoor leadership training and advanced techniques, as well as networking opportunities. We hope they are willing to share their knowledge and experience with others seeking mentorship in the community.
