From the pillar mountains of Zhangjiajie to the karst hills looming over the Li River, for three months Colleen Moore backpacked her way through China. Starting with a one-way ticket to Beijing and an itinerary derived from the advice of fellow travelers, locals and her own bucket list, Colleen snaked through China seeking out natural wonders at every opportunity. She eventually settled just outside Yangshuo where rock climbing routes are abundant and climbers are always looking for a partner. Come see the magnificent pictures and hear her stories of hitchhiking, volunteering and navigating the vast cultural divide between the east and west. Discover the rock climbing mecca in southern China and the beautiful gorge en-route to Tibet. You'll leave the slideshow ready to set out and see it all for yourself. All slideshows take place at the AMC Cabot Auditorium, 4 Joy St., Boston, MA 02108. Potluck starts at 6:30pm, slideshow at 7:15pm, doors close at 9:30pm. Potluck Info: If you wish to participate in the potluck, homemade dishes are welcome, store bought goodies & takeout are equally welcome:) Plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, napkins and drink pitchers will be supplied. The auditorium has a kitchen if you need to do any re-warming or prep (w/stovetop, oven, microwave, sink & fridge). Please bring your own cooking pots if needed for stovetop.
